3rd Conference for Wildlife Protection in TCM

On May 18th, 2025, the 3rd International Conference on Wildlife Protection in TCM was held at the Indochine Palace Hotel in Hue City. The conference saw the participation of 155 delegates, including 118 Vietnamese doctors and 37 international delegates from 13 countries. Furthermore, Vietnam became the first country to establish a chapter of the Coalition, connecting TCM professionals, educators, and researchers who are committed to identifying and applying effective plant-derived alternatives to animal-sourced ingredients. Throughout the conference, speakers shared best practices for sustainable medicine and presented examples of successful treatments using wildlife free alternative solutions, such as herbal substitutes for pangolin scales, synthetically produced bear bile alternatives, and acupuncture. Experts emphasized the strong link between traditional medicine and biodiversity conservation, encouraging the medical community to reshape healing practices in harmony with nature.
